On Saturday, November 12th, The Tunisian National Rugby team will face Kenya in the final of the Africa Cup in Rugby at 2pm (Tunisia Local Time) in Nairobi. It is the third time Tunisia has reached the final match.

Tunisia has faced Kenya five times in different competitions, and Tunisia has the historical edge with three wins against two for Kenya. But November 12th is the first time the two national teams will compete in the final match of the continental cup. They appear to be equally matched.

Mr. Samir Ben Maktouf, the current technical manager and a former coach and player, said that the team was in France from October 20th to 27th for a practical training phase to prepare for the match with Kenya. The group contains 22 amateur players. Despite varying ages, the team is well-integrated because it has played together for a long time. Eleven among them belong to the French Rugby League and eleven are local Tunisian players.

Maktouf added, “The players are motivated and optimistic about the result of the match, and they are not taking into consideration the material side or thinking of money, they only think about their patriotism.” Lien
